To connect your Private Email from Namecheap to Microsoft Outlook, follow these steps:
Step 1: Gather Email Settings
Before configuring Outlook, get your Private Email IMAP/POP and SMTP settings:
- IMAP (recommended)
- Incoming Mail Server:
mail.privateemail.com
- Port:

- Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Incoming Mail Server:
- POP3 (optional)
- Incoming Mail Server:

- Port:

- Encryption: SSL/TLS
- Incoming Mail Server:
- SMTP (Outgoing)
- Outgoing Mail Server:

- Authentication: Required (Use your full email and password)
- Outgoing Mail Server:
Step 2: Add Private Email to Outlook
- Open Microsoft Outlook.
- Click on File > Add Account.
- Select Manual setup or additional server types, then click Next.
- Choose POP or IMAP, then click Next.
- Enter the following details:
- Your Name: (Your preferred display name)
- Email Address: (Your Private Email address)
- Account Type: IMAP
- Incoming Mail Server:
mail.privateemail.com
- Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP):
mail.privateemail.com
- Username: (Your full Private Email address)
- Password: (Your Private Email password)
Step 3: Configure Advanced Settings
- Click More Settings.
- Go to the Outgoing Server tab:
- Check My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication.
- Select Use the same settings as my incoming mail server.
- Go to the Advanced tab:
- Incoming server (IMAP):

Step 4: Complete Setup
- Click OK, then Next.
- Outlook will test the connection. If successful, click Finish.
- Your Private Email is now set up in Outlook.
